Hello everyone!

Are you  interested in enrolling your child/teen in a social skills group? Inland Empire ASC will soon be holding free screenings for upcoming social skills groups. As part of these screenings, we will be identifying your child’s strengths and areas of need in order to determine where there is an appropriate fit in one of our groups.

What will be working on?

Our younger groups will be tailored to your child’s needs, including but not limited to cooperative play (pretend play, turn taking, sharing, etc.), sustained attention, eye-contact, and basic early conversation skills.

Our teen group will focus on areas including appropriate conversation topics and slang, tips for dressing, group decision making, planning hangouts and outings, appropriate interactions with the opposite gender, body language, and the “hidden curriculum”- society’s untaught rules, such as bathroom etiquette.

Most of our social skills groups will take place at our Riverside office, however our teen group will plan several outings and meet at local “hangouts” such as Castle Park, Sky Zone, or Crossroads Shopping Center, etc. Stay tuned for an upcoming post announcing dates for the free screenings.
